APRIL:

The month of April is Pride Month. So start cleaning the yard, out buildings, the house, or your street.

HELP US PICK UP THE TRASH AND CLEAN OUR COUNTY!!

Any Letcher County citizen may bring their trash to the landfill, located in Millstone, at no charge; with the exception of building materials and tires.

There will be no pick up!

Building materials cost $45 a ton to dispose of and tires are $3 each.

Landfill hours are:

Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. -3:00 p.m.

and for the month of April only:

Saturday 7:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (noon)

	MARCH: This month PRIDE will resume taking applications for the Homeowner Septic System Grant Program. Please note, the Homeowner SSG Program is for individual low-income homeowners to hook on to an existing treatment line or to replace a failing septic system or straight pipe. The grant program is not for new/unoccupied homes. The homeowner must provide a current copy of an electric bill (showing the physical address) as well as proof of income. The homeowner must meet 50% HUD income guidelines. The homeowner should complete the application and return it by mail to the PRIDE office. The application must be returned with the required documents as listed on the cover sheet of the application. The homeowner will be notified by mail of approval or denial. PRIDE will pay for the site evaluations and inspection fees of approved applications. YOU MAY PICK UP AN APPLICATION AT THE LETCHER COUNTY JUDGE'S OFFICE, MONDAY-FRIDAY 8:00 A.M.-4:30 P.M.
